As a student of one of our programmes – JU, MKV, MIJ or PolCom, you are welcome to launch your own web site.
Your site will be a WordPress site. WordPress is currently the worlds leading Content Management System. It runs over 40% av the entire internet. Read about our system here.
It will have the URL/address studentsite.jmg.gu.se/xxx, where xxx should be your name.
Your site will be active up to a year after your graduation.
It may be used for whatever you want, within reasonable limits. A CV-site, a cooperation surface for essay work etc, increase credibility when sending out a survey (may refer to a page on your site that explains your project, under the domain gu.se). And more.
It may not be used for web shops, for political rants, for offensive, pornographic or copyrighted material. Or material of questionable ethical character on the whole.
You willl be assigned 1000 Mb web space and maximum upload size limited to 200 Mb. This means that large videofiles should be uploaded to Youtube or Vimeo and embedded on the site.
Note: You should consider the privacy options, especially if you publish journalistic working material on your site. You can:
1. Make the web site not searchable by Google and other searh engines.
2. Password protect individual post/pages.
3. Password protect the entire web site.

Just hit the Register button (at the top right) and you will be a webmaster in minutes.
